Morgenstern* transferred a million rubles to a 15-year-old schoolboy who saved about 100 people during a terrorist attack
Morgenstern* sent one million rubles to 15-year-old schoolboy Islam, who helped lead about 100 people out of the building during the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall.
In the concert hall, Islam worked part-time as a cloakroom attendant. In a conversation with the Baza telegram channel, he said that before the start of the concert of the Picnic group, he heard loud pops and screams, but at first he thought that it was the escalator that had broken down or that some company had caused a row. However, when people ran towards him, he realized that it was an attack.
According to the guy, he was taught what to do in an emergency, so he acted according to the instructions. When the shooting began, Islam stood in the way of the flow of people and began to direct the running crowd towards the service exits, while he grabbed and pushed those who stood in stupor forward. Also, at some point, the student noticed that a large group of people was going to a dead end. He intervened and led the frightened Crocus visitors along through the smoke, through the exhibition into the service premises, and from there onto the street. No one from his group was injured.
“People were crowding. I understand them, of course. I, too, would really like to run away right away, but I did everything according to the instructions: get people out right away, and then leave at the end. I brought people out and walked behind them to make sure that there was no one behind me, so that there were no people left there,” Islam told journalists of the 360 TV channel.
The boy's mother admitted to reporters that she did not immediately believe what happened. “He returned home and shouted: “Mom, why aren’t you answering the call, I sent you a video.” And I’m shocked: he’s shaking, he’s very cold. Then we watched TV and saw on the news how they were shooting. A terrible terrorist attack. Then I already imagined: my son was there. Thank God, my son was returned: alive, healthy, I cried with joy,” the woman shared.
Islam’s father said that his son is like his grandfather, who fought against the Nazis: “We ourselves are not surprised by our son’s actions; on the contrary, we regret that we could not help many.”
Islam assures that at the time when the most terrible thing was happening, he was not afraid, and realized everything that had happened only a day later. The day after the attack, survivors contacted him and thanked him for his help.
The guy himself does not consider himself a hero, but Morgenstern* disagrees with this. He announced a generous reward for the student during a stream on the Kik service. Islam recorded a video of gratitude: “I am truly happy. With the help of [Morgenstern*], my life will be easier. I am very glad that people like Alisher exist. I have no words. I want to cry.” The rapper showed this video on his blog: “Sorry, I’m going to show it without your permission, but everyone on the Internet already knows this news. You just need to know the characters by sight. Cry, bro, cry. Handsome!”
Also, the spiritual leader of Russian Muslims, Mufti Sheikh Ravil Gainutdin, promised to present the teenager with an award during Friday prayers at the Cathedral Mosque in Moscow. In addition, Islam, who plays for the Spartak children's team, met with the players of the club's main team and was presented with gifts, including a personalized T-shirt and a season ticket for all home matches.
On the evening of March 22, before the concert of the Picnic group, a group of armed people burst into Crocus City Hall and opened fire. According to the Investigative Committee, 133 people died as a result of the terrorist attack.
