The Twilight series will be animated
The series based on the cult franchise "Twilight" will be animated. This was reported by Deadline. Lionsgate Television has officially announced the project.
Rumors that Twilight, like earlier Harry Potter, would get a reboot appeared last year. The network decided that the new series, like the previous franchise starring Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, would be a live-action series, and even began to imagine who could play the roles of the main characters: Bella and Edward. However, the creators of the series immediately decided to make the restart animated.
Thus, the director of the first "Twilight" Catherine Hardwicke stated that she sees the actress from the series "Wednesday" Jenna Ortega and the star of the series "Euphoria" and the film "Saltburn" Jacob Elordi as the ideal Bella and Edward. Netizens did not like this idea: the actors have a very large difference in height (Elordi’s height is 198 cm, and Ortega’s is 155 cm), and therefore, according to many, they would not look harmonious together. However, Pattinson himself, who ultimately played Edward, did not want to take this role: the filmmakers decided that he looked too unkempt.
From 2008 to 2012, five full-length films were released based on Stephenie Meyer's novels about the love of a girl and a vampire, which became cult in pop culture, and their total box office receipts exceeded $3.4 billion worldwide. The main roles in the films were played by Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, after which the actors became known throughout the world.
