59-year-old Monica Bellucci graced the cover of the March issue of Arabic Vogue. The actress spoke about feminism and working with Tim Burton. Not long ago they declassified their romantic relationship and began going out together as a couple. She made her first red carpet appearance with the director at the Rome Film Festival last October. "It's so exciting and wonderful to share the experience of working with someone you love," she says of her time on set with Tim Burton.
Monica said that she loves being in love. “I feel like a real woman,” is how she describes her current state.
The actress is currently filming a TV series in France and has just finished working on a film with Iranian director Marjane Satrapi. "When I shoot a movie, I get terribly nervous, especially in the first few days. Cinema is a completely different experience," the actress said. She devoted the last three years of her life to the theater, touring Europe with Maria Callas's one-woman show "Letters and Memoirs".
Bellucci also spoke about strong women in the film industry: “Everything is changing because women today are speaking out loud. They are no longer afraid to speak. Isabelle Huppert, Charlotte Rampling, Fanny Ardant... these are women who still play leading roles. This proves that the world has changed. Previously, women after 40 were not given opportunities to work - although they are incredibly talented."
In an interview, Bellucci shared the secrets of her youth. The actress described herself as "very feminine" but admitted that she is not obsessed with beauty. She does Pilates and eats healthy. “I’m not obsessed with anything. I like to live life to the fullest,” Monica said.
Monica Bellucci broke up with French artist Nicolas Lefebvre four years ago, and before that she had been in a relationship with actor Vincent Cassel for 17 years, with whom she has two daughters. In 2013 they separated.
Tim Burton divorced actress Helena Bonham Carter in 2014 after 13 years of marriage; they have two children together.
