Prince Harry is confident that Charles III's diagnosis will help them reunite
Prince Harry spoke publicly for the first time about his father King Charles' diagnosis. The Duke of Sussex appeared as a guest on Good Morning America and in an interview with Will Reeves admitted that he hopes for reconciliation with the royal family in the current circumstances.
"Look, I love my family. I'm grateful that I was able to get on a plane and see him and spend time with him. I think that any illness, any illness brings us together," he said.
Harry did not disclose the details of the short meeting with Charles III. However, he told how he was informed about his father's illness. He stated that he was grateful to his father for the one-on-one meeting. He admitted that he boarded the first plane from the US to the UK after learning of the diagnosis.
The presenter then asked what he thought about King Charles' health, but Harry responded curtly: "That remains between me and him."
Reeves asked how Prince Harry deals with bad news. “I, like all of us, have my own family. I have other trips planned around the UK and I will stop and see my family as much as I can,” the duke admitted.
Harry also admitted that he loves life in America and even thought about becoming a citizen: “It’s amazing, but I don’t feel like an American yet. I thought about American citizenship, but now it’s not my main priority.”
In the interview, the Duke spoke a little about Archie and Lilibet: "The children are doing great. They are growing like all children. They have an incredible sense of humor, they make us laugh and help us grow every single day."
