Paris Hilton threw a Little Mermaid-themed party for her son
Paris Hilton threw a Little Mermaid-themed party to celebrate her son Phoenix's first birthday. Paris, 42, decorated her backyard with seaweed and balloons. The celebration featured music from the Disney cartoon "The Little Mermaid". In addition, animals appeared at the festival for children - rabbits, guinea pigs and even a pony in a unicorn costume. 
"It's Phoenix's first birthday and we have a 'Things Under the Sea' theme. I'm so excited. I've thrown amazing birthday parties my whole life. So now to be able to throw a party for my little boy is a special memory."
There were also celebrities at the celebration: Kelly Osbourne and her son and Rumer Willis and her daughter. Also at the party was Paris Hilton's youngest daughter London.
Paris Hilton and her husband Carter Reum became parents for the first time a year ago. Their son Phoenix was born thanks to a surrogate mother. Hilton was criticized by many for this, but Paris said that she resorted to this method of becoming a mother because of health problems, including mental ones.
Last November, their daughter London was born, also through a surrogate mother.
