Drugs worth 13 billion rubles were found in the port of St. Petersburg. Prohibited substances were discovered by employees of the North-West Customs Administration and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region in cargo that arrived at the Big Port of St. Petersburg from the Belgian city of Antwerp.
Briquettes containing drugs were found between bags of coffee. In total, more than 1,200 kilograms of drugs were seized; the total value of such a shipment is 13 billion rubles. A criminal case has been opened for drug smuggling on an especially large scale.
This is the second such case in the last month: two weeks ago, a thousand briquettes of cocaine worth more than 11 billion rubles were found in a container from Nicaragua.
Earlier, actor Anatoly Rudenko was also detained with drugs. In Moscow, the taxi in which the artist was traveling was stopped for inspection, and the actor’s behavior seemed suspicious to law enforcement officers. During the search, they found a bag of drugs, which Rudenko, according to him, found while walking his dog.
