"I don't need applause." Will Smith on popularity

Will Smith spoke about his attitude towards fame during the Red Sea International Film Festival. According to the actor, fame imposes many obligations and is associated with great experiences.
"Fame is a unique monster. I had to be very careful. You don't have to worry when everyone says only good things about you. But the more you accept it when people say good things about you, the more it will hurt you when people say bad things about you.”
Thanks to fame, the actor realized that he had to “clearly know who he is and what he is trying to do in the world.”
"I don't need the applause of others so I can focus on my mission. I have always wanted to bring goodness to the world. I've always wanted to make people smile. I have always been dedicated to the process of joy and inspiration."
He also noted that he has not yet achieved perfection. "I am in the process of perfecting my virtue. I would say the greatest thing that happened was that I was deeply humbled and deeply inspired to brighten my light. And this is what the next stage of my life will be - to make my light as bright as possible and shine for more people."
Earlier, Will Smith's wife Jada Pinkett Smith said that in fact they have not been together for many years. At the same time, they maintain good relations and do not intend to divorce. Pinkett Smith added that their relationship now is “deeper than just a marriage.”
