David Lynch's wife files for divorce from director after 14 years of marriage
David Lynch's wife, actress Emily Stuffle, has filed for divorce from the director after 14 years of marriage. TMZ reports this.
According to the publication, the couple is not parting amicably. In the divorce papers, Emily lists a number of demands for her husband, who, apparently, will soon become an ex: among other things, she demands sole custody of her and the director's 11-year-old daughter (she is not opposed to Lynch seeing the child), and also wants David to pay her alimony and cover the costs of her lawyers' fees.
Emily is David Lynch's fourth wife. She is 32 years younger than the 77-year-old filmmaker. In 2006, she starred in Lynch’s film “Inland Empire,” and 11 years later, in the continuation of the director’s cult series “Twin Peaks,” already being his wife.
This fall, the actress who played Catherine Martell in the TV series Twin Peaks died. and three-time Oscar nominee Piper Laurie.
