Britney Spears again publicly accused her sister of lying: "I should have slapped you and Mom"

The conflict between Britney Spears and her younger sister Jamie Lynn Spears continues. In her last Instagram post, Britney again sharply criticized her sister's behavior. So, the singer said that she and her sister were treated differently in the family:

I've been working all my life and I didn't know what it was like when Mom was serving you. 12-year-old Jamie Lynn spent hours watching TV, and then lay on an inflatable mattress by the pool... This has never happened in my life, I'm in shock.

At that time, Britney was supported only by the family of Justin Timberlake, with whom she was dating at the time:

Justin's family is all I've had for years.

Britney also recalled the unpleasant period that her family was going through in 2002:

Mom was on antidepressants and could hardly keep up a conversation because she and dad broke up then, and she was in even worse condition than ever! I remember her sitting on the floor during the interview and not getting up...

In addition, Britney hinted that Jamie Lynn got into the TV series "Stuff", which aired on the Nickelodeon channel in 2002-2004, only thanks to her:

How the hell did a 12-year-old girl get on a Nickelodeon show?

In her interview, Jamie Lynn spoke about buying a house for their mother. Britney also commented on this remark:

You say that buying a house for mom was strange and stupid on my part! She was so proud, and you told the interviewer it was "weird.".. Why did you say that?

The pop star was not shy in her expressions and even expressed regret that she did not slap her sister and mother in the face at the time:

Sorry, Jamie Lynn, I didn't have the strength to do what I should have done: slap you and Mom right in your fucking faces!

Britney is sure that their mother, Lynn Spears, was too loyal to her younger sister and allowed her too much:

I was just stunned when I got home and heard you talking to our mom. Complete shock! You just hated her! She worshipped you too much. If you were my daughter, I would give you a real thrashing!

At the end of her angry tirade, Britney accused Jamie Lynn of insincerity and distortion of facts:

Did you feel sorry for me after the breakup [with Justin]? No, it wasn't! You and your friends dyed your hair like Christina Aguilera and didn't talk to me anymore. You didn't think I was cool. I've never pulled away from you. You can serve it with whatever sauce you want, but, dear child, it was you who turned away from me when I needed you the most.Britney's comment came after Jamie Lynn took part in an episode of the Spotify podcast Call Her Daddy on January 17, where she told host Alex Cooper what it's like to grow up with a famous older sister.

I always felt that I was in the background, and I just learned not to interfere,

Jamie Lynn told Cooper.

The relationship between the sisters escalated after the start of the promotional campaign of Jamie Lynn Spears' book Things I Should Have Said. In her memoirs, Jamie Lynn recalls a number of strange, in her opinion, antics of the famous sister, in particular, how Britney, taking a knife, locked herself in a room with her. Britney, in turn, denies all this, accusing her sister of wanting to cash in on her name.

Recall that on November 12, 2021, a court in Los Angeles officially released Britney Spears from the custody of her father Jamie Spears. The singer, who had been under his care for 13 years, could not independently manage her fees, drive a car and move freely.
