Ratajkowski was forced to have sex by her 16-year-old boyfriend named Owen, and Emily was still a virgin at that time.

Emily Ratajkowski has previously spoken publicly about the sexual abuse she experienced in 2012. Then the model participated in a candid photo shoot for Darius magazine, the author of this shoot was American photographer Jonathan Leder. The shooting took place right at Leder's house: first, the photographer proposed to the young Emily (at that time she was 20 years old) to drink wine to relax, I took a few pictures of the model in her underwear, and then invited her to get naked in front of the camera. In a conversation with the editor of the newspaper, Emily told what thoughts prompted her to write the book, and also shared her view on the attitude to the laws of the modern fashion industry. Ratajkowski admitted that at the start of her career she was very happy with her success, until she realized that in the fashion sphere her body is perceived exclusively as a commodity.

The model admitted that her water broke six days before the start of labor, but at first she hid it from her husband. By the time she was admitted to the hospital, Emily was already suffering from severe pain.
