Emily Ratajkowski told about the sexual abuse she experienced at the age of 15: "I haven't even had sex before"

Sales of the first book-an essay by 30-year-old Emily Ratajkowski called "My Body" will start tomorrow. In this collection, Emily shared her thoughts about modeling experience, the world, politics, women, and also spoke in detail about her pregnancy and childbirth. On the eve of the book's release, new details of the upcoming memoirs appear in the press every now and then. So, the publication The Daily Star reported that in the book Emily is going to talk about the sexual abuse she experienced at the age of 15. Ratajkowski was forced to have sex by her 16-year-old boyfriend named Owen, and Emily was still a virgin at that time.

Why didn't the 15-year-old me scream at the top of my voice then? Who taught me to be silent? I hated myself. I didn't tell anyone what happened to Owen that weekend. It was sex without consent. I was so young. I haven't even had sex before,

- Ratajkowski recalls this terrible episode from his life in the book "My Body".

Emily Ratajkowski has previously spoken publicly about the sexual abuse she experienced in 2012. Then the model participated in a candid photo shoot for Darius magazine, the author of this shoot was American photographer Jonathan Leder. The shooting took place right at Leder's house: first, the photographer proposed to the young Emily (at that time she was 20 years old) to drink wine to relax, I took a few pictures of the model in her underwear, and then invited her to get naked in front of the camera. Further events took place for Ratajkowski in a fog because of the amount of alcohol he had drunk.

I don't remember any kisses, but I distinctly remember how his fingers suddenly appeared inside me,

- Emily shared her memories.

According to Ratajkowski, she abruptly interrupted Leder's actions, but still spent the night with him and returned home only in the morning. Emily clarified that Jonathan was very rude to her and caused her physical pain.

A few days before the book's release, Emily Ratajkowski also talked to The Time and starred in a photo shoot for the publication. In a conversation with the editor of the newspaper, Emily told what thoughts prompted her to write the book, and also shared her view on the attitude to the laws of the modern fashion industry. Ratajkowski admitted that at the start of her career she was very happy with her success, until she realized that in the fashion sphere her body is perceived exclusively as a commodity.

I was a shining example of someone who succeeded in her field, turning her image, body and sexuality into a commodity. But if I was so powerful and popular, why did I feel unhappy?

Ratajkowski wonders.

The star also admitted that, being a successful model, she realized that her body no longer belongs to her. After some time, Emily also realized that if she refused to fulfill any of the client's requirements, she would be replaced very quickly. These thoughts made her completely reconsider her attitude to the industry as a whole.

In the book "My Body", Emily Ratajkowski, who became a mother for the first time this year, also shared details of her pregnancy and childbirth. The model admitted that her water broke six days before the start of labor, but at first she hid it from her husband. By the time she was admitted to the hospital, Emily was already suffering from severe pain.

The pain was all-encompassing. It permeated through me and spread all over my body. The contractions were continuous, and when one of them peaked, I panicked. I desperately wanted the pain to stop, but I was trapped. I gritted my teeth. I was worried about whether we could cope with the baby. Our lives were at stake, but there was nothing I could do to ensure our safety,
