Venice-2021: Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter, Kirsten Dunst and others at the premieres
Several film premieres were held yesterday as part of the 78th Venice International Film Festival. Together with the New Zealand director Jane Campion, her film "The Power of the Dog" was presented by the main actors Benedict Cumberbatch and Kirsten Dunst.
His wife Sophie Hunter also came to support the British actor with him. The couple, who rarely go out together and generally lead a closed lifestyle (the last time the couple appeared together in public in 2019 at the premiere of the film "War of Currents"), patiently posed on the carpet. Usually reserved, they did not hide their feelings and even kissed.
For the release, Sophie chose a white dress by New Zealand designer Emilia Wickstead, whose outfits are loved by Kate Middleton, with red patterns.
Other films that were evaluated by the jury yesterday were the film directed by Paolo Sorrentino "The Hand of God", the work of Paul Schroeder "Cold Calculation" and the film by Shirin Neshat and Shoji Azari "Land of Dreams", which was not included in the main competition program. The guests of the premieres were Zoe Saldana with her husband Marco Perego, Tiffany Haddish and Oscar Isaac, as well as Matt Dillon with his beloved Roberta Mastromichel.
