"Lives Up to Its Name." Vladislav Bakalchuk Summarized the Past Year of the Family
Vladislav Bakalchuk summed up the past year in his Telegram channel, which for him was full of “unexpected turns” of fate.
“2024 was the year of Family and, frankly speaking, it lived up to its name… There were enough family events for a whole movie!” Vladislav joked, adding that he experienced a lot and learned a lot of new things, “some funny, some not so much.”
The businessman noted that despite the “difficult trials,” there were also warm moments in his life that will forever remain in his memory, and he also learned and realized a lot. “This year was not only a time of struggle for me, but also a time of awareness. I once again realized how important it is to have people around who believe in you and support you. And how great it is that I have you — my team, my subscribers, my friends. Thank you for always being there,” Vladislav wrote.
He expressed hope that 2025 will bring more clarity, stability and joy to everyone, that everyone will be able to “fix what seems to be destroyed and create something new.” “We will be stronger, wiser and, of course, more successful. Let the New Year be a time of accomplishments, good changes and sincere happiness for all of us. Let there be comfort, warmth and joy in every home. And let this story, which began as a drama, definitely turn into a real fairy tale with a happy ending,” Bakalchuk concluded.
Let us recall that this summer, Vladislav’s 49-year-old wife Tatyana Bakalchuk, with whom he founded the Wildberries company, announced that she was leaving her husband. After the divorce, she took back her maiden name Kim. Tatyana publicly accused her ex-husband of long-term abuse and stated that she decided to break off relations with him for the sake of herself and her children. According to Kim, she realized that she did not deserve to be treated like a “doormat,” and she also did not want her children to adopt an unhealthy family model.
Another blow for Vladislav, who owns only one percent of Wildberries shares, was that Tatyana announced the merger of their common brainchild with the company Russ. Bakalchuk could not accept this: he believes that his ex-wife became a victim of manipulation by the owners of Russ, the Mirzoyan brothers, in particular Levan Mirzoyan, who allegedly "stole" Tatyana from the family. The conflict between the ex-spouses reached its climax when a shootout occurred in the Wildberries office, resulting in the deaths of two people.
