Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Offered $60 Million to Star Together Again
Former spouses Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are being offered to appear together on screen again for a hefty fee of $60 million. This proposal was put forward by director and producer Danny Rossner, Page Six reports.
The most famous Hollywood couple broke up eight years ago and have failed to mend their relationship, but Danny Rossner admitted that he has already prepared a script for a new film, which he called the project of his life, and has raised enough money (in his opinion) to offer Jolie and Pitt the lead roles. However, the likelihood that the ex-spouses will agree to a deal is extremely low.
The proposed film would star Pitt and Jolie as a couple in love — Cannes hotel owner Emmanuel Martinez and his lover and muse Emma Digard. The film's script is based on real events and takes place during World War II.
"There are love scenes in the film... And one of them is very vivid. There is nothing obscene in it. According to the script, Martinez had a wife and a mistress," Rossner said.
The director also noted that if he manages to negotiate with the actors, he does not intend to split the fee between them equally. According to him, Pitt deserves to receive the larger part of the sum, approximately 2/3. Only Danny does not take into account that against the background of many years of lawsuits between the actors, this will clearly not suit Angelina.
"Right now, I think Brad Pitt's possible salary is in the range of $20 to $25 million [per film], and Angelina Jolie's is in the range of $15 million," the director believes.
Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie previously starred together in the 2005 action film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, where their romance began. The actors also starred in the drama Côte d'Azur, directed by Jolie. The film was released shortly before the couple's divorce in 2015.
Let's recall that the actors were together for more than ten years. They got married in 2014, after nine years of relationship, but in 2016 Angelina filed for divorce. The main reason for her decision was a quarrel on the plane, during which Pitt, in a drunken state, raised his hand against Jolie and one of their children. The couple has six children in total: adopted - 23-year-old Maddox, 20-year-old Pax and 19-year-old Zahara, as well as biological - 18-year-old Shiloh and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. All three daughters have rejected Pitt's surname.
