64-year-old Kristin Scott Thomas marries 62-year-old Bloomberg editor-in-chief

British actress Kristin Scott Thomas has married. The 64-year-old star of the film "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and the series "Slow Horses" has married 62-year-old Bloomberg News editor-in-chief John Micklethwait.

The actress told the Ruthie's Table 4 podcast that the wedding took place in September and was held in secret in her husband's homeland in Rutland County, and the menu for guests consisted of British dishes. "We had coronation chicken. It was just delicious, absolutely delicious!" Christine shared.

Thomas added that her most touching wedding gift came from her sister. "She got all the family recipes that my mother had collected, from my great-grandmother in Scotland to other grandmothers on both sides of the family. She scanned them and made a book out of them for me."

The Oscar nominee keeps her personal life private and does not feature her husband on social media. "I'm not going to talk about him. I'm going to talk about me," she said in a recent interview with the Financial Times when asked about her personal life.

After divorcing gynecologist François Olivier in 2005 after 18 years of marriage, Christine was certain she would never find love again. In 2013, she joked that she would remain single for life because "all men run up the mountain" when they see her. This was due to the actress's busy schedule, which included a lot of filming and never living in one place for more than a few weeks. "It's incredibly difficult to maintain a relationship when you have the lifestyle I have. If I sign up for something, I have to do it properly. So I have to switch off my personal life. I can squeeze a phone call into my lunch break, but I just can't handle everything else."

Thomas is currently filming the successful series Slow Horses and is happy that she has been working in one place for the past four years. Perhaps this has helped the actress to improve her personal life.
