Model Bianca Balti shows off her surgery scars after ovarian cancer treatment
Bianca Balti, who was recently diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer, showed how her body has changed due to treatment. The 40-year-old Italian model shared a new photo shoot on Instagram*, in which the marks of the operation are visible. Bianca also changed her hairstyle: now she has a bob.
Bianca published several black and white photos where she poses in front of the lens of fashion photographers Luca and Alessandro Morelli. In the pictures, the model poses in underwear and covers her breasts with her hands. Post-surgery scars are visible on her body. Balti also shared the process of her haircut, which was done by stylist Ezia Diaferia.
"Courage to those who, like me, are starting treatment," the model wrote in her story*.
In September of this year, Bianca Balti announced* that she had been diagnosed with stage three ovarian cancer. Two years ago, the model had already undergone a double mastectomy after she was found to have a genetic predisposition to breast and ovarian cancer. Balti had decided to hold off on the preventive removal of her ovaries at the time, as she was planning to have more children.
Bianca Balti has been married twice. With her first husband, photographer's assistant Christian Lucidi, the model gave birth to a daughter, Matilda, in 2007. The couple divorced in 2010 after four years of marriage. In 2015, Bianca gave birth to a daughter, Mia, with Matthew McRae. The couple got married two years later, but soon separated.
