Kendall Jenner poses for the cover of Vogue and talks about her desire to become a mother
Kendall Jenner is the heroine of the new issue of French Vogue. The 28-year-old model took part in a photo shoot and talked about why she never reads comments on her Instagram*, as well as her desire to become a mother.
On the cover, Kendall poses for the lens of famous fashion photography duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott in a Dolce & Gabbana polka-dot bikini. For the shoot, Kim Kardashian's sister tried on a red floral Valentino outfit and a latex Alaia dress. 
Kendall said she feels beautiful when she is "authentic and true to myself." She believes beauty should come from within. "It also means doing something I love, which means I feel happy and comfortable."
No amount of cosmetic procedures, which she's had access to since childhood, can replace working on her mental health, Jenner says. She calls therapy "the best investment in the world."
"Growing up in California and living in a privileged environment, I certainly had access to a lot of skincare and beauty trends. But what has really changed my life, and what I would absolutely recommend to anyone who has the opportunity and desire to do so, is therapy. I've been doing therapy for a few years now and it's incredible. It's hard at times, but I've learned so much about myself."
Despite growing up in front of viewers of the family's reality show, which has been on screen since she was 11 years old, Kendall has always been more private than the rest of her family. Jenner has kept her personal life private and has been able to set boundaries from an early age. She's carried that experience over to social media.
"I really like the idea of self-preservation. It's really important. Social media is about so much more than just putting things out there for the world to see. It's also about exposing your energy. I guard it very carefully, and with it my mind. The more we share on social media, the more we give others the opportunity to get to us and disturb us. So I try to evaluate what I can handle and when I need to step away. I try not to spend too much time on the internet. If I have to dedicate part of my day to it, I put my phone down to write, read, go for a walk, or see friends... It's necessary. And most importantly, I never read the comments! I really stay away from these debates that don't even really exist. We have to remind ourselves that none of this is real. There is nothing more powerful than living in the present, in reality."
Jenner spoke about her plans for the future. Her close friend Hailey Bieber is preparing to become a mother, and all of her sisters, except Kendall, have had at least two children for a long time. In the coming years, the model also plans to start a family. "I don't know what will happen tomorrow, so it's hard to say. But I would like to start a family, become a mother and have children."
Kendall also spoke about feminism, noting that she grew up surrounded by strong women who have achieved a lot and considers herself to be the same. "I come from a matriarchal family, and I have so many strong female friends who do things that I admire. I've always had a respectful attitude towards women, and it's really important to me that we support each other."
