Rachel McAdams went out with her parents, but in a "naked" dress
The annual Tony Awards were held in New York City on Sunday. Among the celebrity guests and nominees, including Angelina Jolie and her daughter Vivienne, was Mean Girls star Rachel McAdams. The 45-year-old actress received her first nomination for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Play for her work in Mary Jane, and attended the event with the support of her parents, Lance and Sandra.
In addition to the actress's achievements on Broadway, her semi-transparent and figure-hugging Givenchy dress attracted the attention of the press. Rachel came out to the photographers in a black asymmetrical dress with an open back and silver edging, under which no underwear was visible. The actress completed the look with diamond jewelry from Tiffany & Co.
McAdams's look was immediately discussed on social networks, because such a "naked" dress is not her style. Most decided that the dress was "naked" by accident: the actress or her stylist simply forgot to take into account how the fabric of the dress would look in the bright light of flashes. However, some think that, on the contrary, it was a conscious choice and thus Rachel supported the trend for "naked" dresses.
The performance with the participation of the actress was nominated in several other categories. As a result of the awards, Sarah Paulson, Daniel Radcliffe and Jeremy Strong were among the winners and received their first statuettes, and the musical “Cast Away,” which was produced by Angelina Jolie, was named “Best Musical.”
