Scarlett Johansson and her husband at the White House Correspondents' Association dinner
The annual White House Correspondents' Association dinner took place on April 27 at the Washington Hilton Hotel. In addition to eminent journalists and politicians, the event also brought together many American film and television stars, including Scarlett Johansson and her husband Colin Jost.
The “Avengers” star has not often appeared at social events lately, but this time she decided to support her husband, who was the presenter at the event. Scarlett hit the red carpet in a form-fitting white sleeveless dress with silver trim. Her look was complemented by a matching scarf draped around her neck and laconic silver jewelry. Together with Colin, the actress willingly posed for photographers - judging by the pictures, the couple was in a very good mood.
The day before, the couple attended a party on the occasion of the upcoming dinner.
Recall that Scarlett Johansson and Colin Jost, a comedian and writer for Saturday Night Live, began dating in 2017, after the actress became the host of the NBC sketch show for the fifth time. The lovers got married in 2020, and a year later their son Cosmo was born. Johansson also has a daughter, Rose, with her ex-husband, French journalist Romain Dauriac, whom she divorced in 2017.
The White House Correspondents' Association was created in 1914, and six years later the tradition of its annual dinner began. Initially, organizational issues were resolved at them, journalists exchanged experience and contacts, but later such receptions transformed into social events with the participation of celebrities. Almost every US president has attended this event at least once.
It recently became known that Michael Douglas and Scarlett Johansson are distant relatives.
