Rihanna spoke about her changing style after having children and her plans for the Met Gala at the Fenty Beauty event
Recently, an event for Rihanna's cosmetic brand Fenty Beauty was held in Los Angeles, dedicated to the presentation of the Soft'lit Naturally Luminous foundation.
The singer appeared in front of photographers in a custom sand-colored Alexander McQueen sheath dress and strappy sandals, and her look was complemented by gold jewelry.
Communicating with the press, the artist spoke not only about the new product of her brand, but also about her changed style. Rihanna has previously spoken about how she began to dress more modestly after giving birth to two sons with rapper A$AP Rocky, and now she has reiterated that motherhood has had a major impact on her dressing style.
“When you become a mother, your style goes from boring and “let's see what fits” to “today I'm going to look like a bitch.” Sometimes you have to remind yourself that you are still here,” the singer shared in an interview with Extra. She admitted that this year she is going to come to the Met Gala in a rather simple way: “Compared to what happened so far, it’s like I’m just going to dinner.”
Rihanna also explained why she has not released new music for so long. According to her, she just wants everything to be perfect: “I have to feel the music, it has to reflect my evolution during the long break, it has to show my growth. I want to play around with music, have fun and really show who I am now.”
