Celine Dion, who struggles with stiff muscle syndrome, posed for the cover of the new issue of French Vogue. In the footage, the 55-year-old singer posed topless in a voluminous white shirt and shorts, and in an interview with the magazine she spoke about the fight against the disease.
According to Celine, she works every day to “accept” her illness and constantly learn to “manage” it. "I'm doing well, but there's still a lot of work to do. I'm learning to take it a little bit every day. I'm in therapy five days a week. I need to learn to live with it now and stop questioning myself," she said.
"I haven't beaten the disease because it's still in me and always will be. I hope we find a miracle way to cure it through scientific research, but for now I have to learn to live with it."
"In the beginning, I asked myself: Why me? How did this happen? What did I do? Is it my fault? Life doesn't give you any answers. You just have to get through it. I decided to work on it with my whole body and soul, from head to toe, together with the medical team. I want to feel as good as possible. My goal is to see the Eiffel Tower again,” Dion admitted.
She also said whether she would ever return to the stage. “I can’t answer this question. Because for four years I told myself that I wouldn’t come back, that I was ready for the fact that I couldn’t. Under the current circumstances, I can’t take it and say: “Yes, in four months.” I I don’t know... My body will tell me.”
