Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are engaged - with Gwyneth Paltrow's blessing
Dakota Johnson and Chris Martin are engaged after six years of dating. The Coldplay frontman proposed to the actress after receiving the blessings of his ex-wife Gwyneth Paltrow and their children Apple and Moses, reports the Mirror.
"The couple got engaged a while ago and kept the news a secret until now. But now they are openly talking about it in their circle. They have been in love with each other since day one, so the next step was inevitable. They are not in a rush to plan the wedding, but just enjoy the fact that their obligations are formalized,” the source says.
Dakota, 34, was spotted wearing an emerald stone ring on her ring finger back in October last year while celebrating her birthday in Los Angeles. Later in the interview, she said that she “really wants to experience” motherhood.
The Fifty Shades of Gray star and 47-year-old Chris Martin have been together since 2017. The actress gets along well with the musician’s children from Gwyneth Paltrow, with whom he was married from 2003 to 2016, and with the actress herself. Gwyneth even posted a photo on Instagram* of her and Dakota holding hands.
In a recent interview with Bustle magazine, Johnson talked about Apple, 19, and Moses, 17: "I love these kids like my life depends on it. With all my heart. How do I feel about motherhood? I'm so open to it. I've come to because I want to experience everything that life has to offer."
