The Devil Wears Prada cast reunion, drunk Pedro Pascal, Jennifer Aniston with Rachel's haircut at the SAG Awards
The 30th annual SAG Awards, which are awarded by the Screen Actors Guild for films and television series, took place in Los Angeles. The event, held in the Shrine Auditorium concert hall, was attended by many stars, dressed in outfits of famous brands.
Thus, Emma Stone in Louis Vuitton, Anne Hathaway in archival Versace, Jennifer Aniston in Celine, Carey Mulligan in Armani Prive, Emily Blunt in Louis Vuitton, Margot Robbie in Schiaparelli, Cillian Murphy in Saint Laurent, Pedro Pascal in Prada shone on the red carpet , Bradley Cooper in Louis Vuitton, Meryl Streep in Prada, Jessica Chastain in Armani, Reese Witherspoon in Elie Saab, Selena Gomez in Versace, Penelope Cruz in Chanel, Halle Bailey in Dolce & Gabbana and many others.
This year the award was rich in bright moments. The most notable of them, perhaps, was the reunion of the cast of the film “The Devil Wears Prada.” It happened when Meryl Streep (in Prada!) took the stage to present the award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. The actress pretended that she had forgotten her glasses and the envelope with the name of the winner, and then Emily Blunt and Anne Hathaway, who played assistants to Miranda Priestly, Streep's heroine, came to her aid.
Pedro Pascal also made people talk about themselves. Accepting an award for his role in The Last of Us, he admitted that he was already drunk, made a rambling speech and hastily left, joking that he had forgotten the names of all the people he should thank and that he was about to have a panic attack. Later, when a reporter asked Pascal what he thought of his speech, Pedro honestly admitted that he did not remember a word of it.
Elizabeth Debicki, although sober, accepted the award barefoot. She did not at all expect that she would be recognized as the best actress in a drama series (“The Crown”) and therefore was not prepared for going on stage. Her shoes were not fully fastened and were about to fly off her feet, so the actress, passing by Pedro Pascal, simply took them off and left them next to his place.
A funny interaction happened between Billie Eilish and Melissa McCarthy. The singer and actress were supposed to present one of the awards together, but this had to be postponed due to a small moment of “fangirling” on the part of Melissa, who admitted that she really loves Eilish’s work and that the girl’s mother was McCarthy’s improv teacher while she was pregnant with Billie. The actress asked Eilish to sign her dress, but the singer was afraid to ruin it, and then Mellisa offered an alternative - an autograph on her face. Billy complied with this request.
And, of course, Jennifer Aniston again attracted all eyes by slightly modifying Rachel's classic hairstyle from the TV series "Friends".
