Shakira will release her first album in seven years, entitled "Women Don't Cry Anymore"
47-year-old Shakira announced a new album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran ("Women Don't Cry Anymore"). “I created it with all of you, my pack of wolves who have been by my side every step of the way,” the singer wrote. According to her, writing the album became a kind of therapy: “By writing each song, I restored myself. As I sang them, my tears turned into diamonds, and my vulnerability into strength.”
Shakira also showed footage of a photo shoot dedicated to the release of the album. On them she appears in a corset and leggings, as well as other looks selected by stylist Nicolas Bru.
Shakira's Spanish-language album includes 16 tracks, including Acróstico, Out of Your League, Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53, TQG, Te Felicito, Copa Vacía and El Jefe.
The singer recently made a triumphant return to the charts, received a special MTV VMA award and was honored with a statue in her Colombian hometown of Barranquilla. The star also finally reached an agreement in a tax evasion case in Spain. Last November, Shakira paid $34 million to avoid a potential eight-year prison sentence, according to El Periodico. Now the singer does not live in Spain: last summer she announced her separation from Gerard Pique, with whom she had been together for many years, and together with her sons Sasha and Milan moved to Miami.
