The first shot from the biopic about Michael Jackson has been released, in which the singer is played by his nephew
The first shot from the upcoming biopic about Michael Jackson, which is expected to be released in 2025, has appeared online. The photo was shared on Instagram* by the singer’s nephew Jaafar Jackson - he plays his famous relative in the film.
“The journey begins on Monday,” Jaafar, the son of the King of Pop’s older brother, signed the post.
It is important to note that, like Michael, Jaafar connected his life with the stage. He has been singing and dancing since he was 12 years old, and released his first single back in 2019.
Perhaps that's why, family resemblance aside, Michael's fans are mostly happy that Jaafar got the lead role in the film. The post with the first shot from the film, where a young man performs his uncle's signature move while standing on his toes, received many approving comments. Many people write that Michael would be proud of Jaafar if he were alive.
Meanwhile, a scandal is brewing around Jaafar's father, Jermaine Jackson (a member of the Jackson 5 group, in which Michael once performed). Last month he was accused of rape.
