From cozy casual to romantic classics: four new looks for Kate Middleton on the royal tour of Scotland
The fourth day of the royal tour of Scotland, 39-year-old Kate Middleton and 38-year-old Prince William began with a visit to Starbank Park in Edinburgh. The couple, along with local children, planted flowers and an apple tree.
During the visit to the park, the Dukes of Sussex were told about the work of the organization Fields in Trust, which protects parks and green spaces in the UK. Kate and William talked to the volunteers and their families, who told them how much they love this park and how important it is for them.
In public, the Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a dark green Massimo Dutti jacket, cropped black trousers, a white Jigsaw blouse with green polka dots and white sneakers. She complemented her look with a Daniella Draper pendant with the initials of her and William's children: George (G), Charlotte (C), and Louis (L).
The next destination the couple visited was the Craiglockhart Tennis Center. There, the couple met with elementary school students, with some of whom Kate played tennis. The Duchess has long been fond of this sport and has excelled in it.
After taking off her jacket and swapping her blouse for a white Ralph Lauren V-neck jumper, Kate armed herself with a tennis racket and showed off a master class. By the way, Princess Diana also liked to wear such jumpers in an informal setting.
After that, Kate arranged a very touching meeting with Sweet Sneddon — a five-year-old girl who is struggling with leukemia. She invited her and her family to the official royal residence in Edinburgh.
Mila and Kate had previously spoken on the phone, and the girl told the Duchess that she loved pink. She said that she would like to meet the princess, who will be dressed in a pink outfit.
Kate promised that she would definitely be in pink when they met, and she kept her promise: the Duchess wore a pink ME+EM dress to meet the Lovely one.
At the end of the day, the couple attended the closing ceremony of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland. For the event, Kate Middleton chose a blue Catherine Walker coat, a Strathberry clutch and matching shoes.
