Matthew Perry's ex-lover said that the actor "glued his hands" while trying to cope with drug addiction
Matthew Perry's former lover Katie Edwards spoke in an interview with The UK Sun about the actor's struggle with drug addiction. The actor dated Katie in 2006 after they met at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Their romance was short-lived, but after it they remained friends.
Edwards said she once visited her friend in the midst of his struggle. "I visited Matthew in the Hollywood Hills. He felt bad. He was high on multiple drugs all night. I found him on the sofa with his hands glued to his legs - it was desperately sad. I had to use nail polish remover and olive oil to free it. We literally pulled out the hair on his legs, and after that there were red, rough spots, it was terrible."
In 2020, Katie said that Matthew asked her to get him drugs when she was pregnant: according to him, no one would suspect a woman who is expecting a child of such a thing.”
Previously, Katie doubted that the actor was “sober” before his death, and claimed that he may have taken pills. When the cause of death was revealed, it was discovered that Perry died from the "acute effects of ketamine," a drug used to treat depression and also as a recreational drug.
Matthew Perry died at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 55, his body was discovered in a jacuzzi by his assistant.
