A rare portrait of Princess Diana graces the cover of Tatler
A portrait of Princess Diana will grace the cover of the January issue of the British magazine Tatler. The black and white photograph was taken by photographer David Bailey, probably in 1988.
The photograph, which is in the National Portrait Gallery in London, shows the princess wearing an asymmetrical outfit and a smile on her face. The photographer kept the photograph of 27-year-old Diana in his archive and had not previously shown it to the public.
The January issue of Tatler will go on sale on December 7 with the headline "Diana - the battle for her legacy." The article in the publication is devoted to the release of the “controversial” season six of the Netflix series "The Crown" and includes a critical article by royal author Hugo Vickers about the drama inspired by the lives of the British royal family.
