35-year-old Lady Gaga openly spoke about her experience of sexual rape. The star admitted that when she was 19 years old, she was raped by a music producer (she did not name him), after which she became pregnant. She spoke about this in a new documentary by Prince Harry and Oprah Winfrey, "The Me you can't See" (The Me You Can't See), which focuses on the problem of mental health.
I was 19 years old and working in the industry. The producer said to me, " Take off your clothes." I turned him down. When I left, he told me that he would burn all my records. And he didn't stop. He kept asking me to do it, and I just froze. I don't remember what happened next,
— No, " she said.
Gaga said that at first she felt severe pain, and then-complete numbness.
As a result, the star had a nervous breakdown, and she fell into depression. A few years later, the singer was admitted to the hospital, where she received psychiatric care.
I've been sick for weeks. I then realized that it was the same pain that I experienced when the man who raped me left me pregnant on the corner of my parents ' house. I was vomiting and throwing up,
— she said.
The singer admitted that after the rape, this producer locked her in a recording studio, where he kept her for several months and mistreated her.
Lady Gaga added that she decided never to mention the name of this producer, as she no longer wants to meet him face to face.
The singer also admitted that she was engaged in self-harm and caused herself physical pain. According to the star, it took her three years to find ways to cope with her inner demons. Now she is still continuing her path to healing and working on her psychoemotional state.
