Taylor Swift got engaged to longtime boyfriend Joe Alvin
Taylor Swift is now a bride: the singer is engaged to British actor Joe Alvin, with whom she has been dating for more than five years. Engagement rumors began to circulate in mid-January, when the couple went on a three-day romantic trip to Cornwall.
The singer and actor tried to hide their romance from the public - perhaps because Taylor Swift's relationship has always attracted a lot of media attention. Alvin clearly prefers a closed lifestyle — so, in an interview with Vogue 2018, he evaded the question about his personal life:
I understand that people want to know about it. But we've been very successful at keeping it a secret. This has finally reached people, but I prefer to talk about work.
Joe Alvin is not only a romantic, but also a creative partner of Swift. He co-wrote several of her songs from the albums Folklore and Evermore.
Joe Alvin's name is well known to fans of British cinema. He starred in the films "The Favorite", "Two Queens" and "The Last Letter from your Beloved". In 2022, the actor will be seen in the Claire Denis drama "Stars at Noon" and in the TV series "Conversations with Friends".
Before Joe Alvin, the singer had many affairs: she dated Tom Hiddleston, Calvin Harris, Harry Styles, Joe Jonas, Taylor Lautner, John Mayer and Jake Gyllenhaal. Her affair with Gyllenhaal has recently returned to the public spotlight, although their relationship ended more than a decade ago. In November, Swift released a clip of All Too Well, where she hinted at Jake's dishonorable behavior towards her. In response, fans of the singer flooded the actor's social networks with negative messages. And recently Gyllenhaal finally commented on this story.
It has nothing to do with me, it's her relationship with her fans. This is her self-expression. Artists are inspired by personal experience, I don't blame anyone for that.
